An exclusive Conversation with the President Hum News Television Network -Sultana Siddiqui

This time we are providing a special story for the Chinese readers to know a lady who is enthusiastic and passionate to bring china Pakistan nations together through culture tourism and film industry medium.

Sultana Siddiqui is a Pakistani television director and producer. She is a business woman too. She is more popularly referred as Sultana Apa. Sultana hails from Karachi. She is the only lady in Asia to start her TV channel. Siddiqui is the president and founder of "Hum Network Limited". In 1974, Sultana embarked on her career from PTV as a producer. She then went on to start Eye Television Network. Hum TV has bagged the Lux Style Awards for a continuous stretch of four years under her expert guidance and direction. She did numerous serials like "Marvi" (where she worked as a director, "Zara Si Aurat" (as a director), "Dil Da Mamla", "Thoro Si Mohabbat" and many more. Siddiqui produced TV shows like "Anjaane Raaste", "Janat", "Shayad Kay Bahar Aaye".

In 2012-2013, Sultana directed a drama serial titled "Zindagi Gulzar Hai" that starred Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed. This serial had earned a lot of acclamations. She has also made many television films and documentaries. Sultana is a marvellous public speaker. She spoke in the Islamic World Forum organised in Doha in 2013. She also addressed in Women Leadership Forum in 2014. This was held in California. Sultana is the recipient of many awards. She was conferred the "Leadership Award 2014" in 2014. Sultana appeared in the book "100 performing CEOs and Leaders of Pakistan" for her contribution and dedication as a true entrepreneur in Pakistan. She won the Scroll of Honour Award at the 5th GR8! Women Award held in Dubai.

She was applauded for her contributions to the industry. Some other felicitations include Women of Vision Award, Nigar Award, the Gold Medal Award and the Pride of Performance Award to name a few. This award was conferred by the government of Pakistan. Her works concentrate on social issues especially that of women empowerment. Sultana Siddiqui had been the ambassador to Pakistan in various international seminars and forums as well

During the Trip to china she expresses  her thoughts about the China , a big country in technology and in other things if you  compare of visit with  other countries it will give you a lot of experience of discovering new things and it will give you an opportunity to understand other nations and you also learn a lot so the friendship we have with china is deeper than ocean and higher than Himalayas which is we can say  it's a natural Friendship relation with china  so if you see when we go in Relationship with the west we don't have a  natural relationship but when we move in a Relationship with the east we have a lot of similarities due to  rich culture and norms and values   also having same family life style.

So, as you know when I visited the china as a Jury Special Award during the Film Festival in Qingdao, east China's Shandong province Shanghai Cooperation Organization closing ceremony. The Pakistan movie which make me feel proud name 'Punjab Nahi Jaongi' has won and These film festivals provided a platform for collaboration first time between the film industry of China and Pakistan.

Film Cooperation Forum now it's a need of time and through Huashang news platform I would like to say that this is the right time to do some film festivals between China and Pakistan.

We have released the Film Parwaaz Hai Junoon there after nearly 40 years. I think of our Films should be released or exchanged with the china so that we can watch their Films and they can watch ours and for this purpose both China and Pakistan Government should do some efforts. The friendship of Pakistan and China increasing day by day so it should be more strengthen by digital means via  media forums culture and films as we are living in an era of technology.

When I came back from china i  thought that we should also do the Film festival and we also did that and there we came to know about how talented our youth is. If we provide opportunity to our selected talented youth to get training from there and invite the Chinese trainers to train our youth in Film making and other technical professions than it would be useful.

Sultana saddique  believes that we should do more collaboration  with Pakistani and Chinese Media in terms of training and workshops. Our Government should send our youth there for training and also invites there trainers over here and I will offer them my help regarding this matter as I have spent more than 45 years in this industry so we can provide our services through Karachi Festival and also through Hum News Network. I have visited their institutes and I was impressed by their advancement in technology. It would be better if we start any academy or institute with their collaboration.

All of the world is keeping an eye on the CPEC and friendship of Pakistan and China and they will try every means to Flop and sabotage this project. If have an idea of starting the continuous Campaign by taking at least 2 years project as you know Hum News is being watched in more than 30 countries so it will help us in portraying the positive image by this Campaign. But it will take time as enemies are behind us and we have to make strategies to counter them  with the help of team work.

The history of Successful Countries shows the effort of every single person in developing and building as a successful nation.

We can't blame Government on everything, every single person who has casted vote has responsibility to come forward in building the positive image of our nation and we should encounter every fake news. We cant put blame on Government we should take some responsible steps by our own. We cant just keep our eyes close and  silence on every negative attack or fake news about our country and about our friendship.

Talking on CPEC she says that Definitely, I think Gwadar and CPEC as a game changer and projects like them are playing a vital role in the economy of our country.

Parliamentarians and  media houses should perform their role in building positive narrative programs and other institutions should visit Gwadar and CPEC sites and ensure their presence on working on the promotion of the positive image . Expressing more thoughts on social media  she thinks that Unfortunately, in today's era social media has reached so far that negative people are working on it and highlighting the negative events but they don't encourage good events. We should change this mind set and we should make the strategy on whether on social media or television. We should respect the culture and norms of other people and our purpose should be focused upon encouraging each other abilities and talent.

Sharing future ideas of making film on Pakistan China Friendship  It's a really very good idea which i want to do. Very long time ago when I was in PTV a film was made with collaboration of China. I think now there are more possibilities of making film and if I find any possibility than I would definitely make a beautiful film as Pakistan and China have beautiful scenery and culture. Absolutely, I think it is also a need of time to take right decisions on right time. We also hope that there will be peace in our  near neighboring country Afghanistan soon and it will have a peaceful impact to promote peaceful process in the whole region.

I hope that as we are a peaceful people but we are being portrayed negatively but Pakistan always talk about peace  and making a friendly relationship with  neighboring countries but some people don't like this peaceful relation building.

Through and tourism we can build positive and successful relations with other countries. Definitely, when we share emotions with each other and share their stories and inspire other people and it creates the closeness among them.

This government is trying its best and working honestly and bringing new reforms, and I hope that it will go successful. Every government faces ups and

I would like to say thanks  for initiating the CPEC project and our friendship will become more stronger if we keep visiting each other's country.

Lastly will talk about the security of Chines as we know some attacks were made upon Chinese in Karachi and Gwadar. Its heartening to see the enemy being successful in destroying the peace of our country. We should strengthen our security so that the foreigner feel secure while working in Pakistan because there are more enemies than friends. lots of Chinese are living in pakistan  and Chinese food cuisine is popular in Pakistan too.

Lots of prayers for my beloved country. We are not adding our part and efforts in the progress and success of our country we should make ourselves more responsible. For Pakistan I would say it's a precious and peaceful country but we should stop criticizing our country and try to highlight the positive aspects. One day Pakistan will become a successful and progressed country.
