Pakistan and China strengthen ties: Sindh Minister invites Chinese investment in Key sectors
Sindh Minister for Industry and Trade, Jam Ikramullah Dharejo, met with Chinese Consul General Yang Yundong to discuss matters of mutual interest. During the meeting, the Minister extended an invitation to the Chinese Consul General to invest in industries related to agriculture in Sukkur, Larkana, and Karachi.
The Minister highlighted the strong relations between the two countries and the presence of Chinese companies in the Thar Coal and Power Generation sectors. He expressed the Sindh government's willingness to welcome Chinese investment and cooperation in reviving the Karachi Steel Mill.
Minister Dharejo praised the Pak-China friendship, stating that it has stood the test of time and has been further strengthened over the years. He expressed his satisfaction with the growing relations between the two countries and the increasing cooperation in various fields.
Chinese Consul General Yang Yundong appreciated the Minister's gesture and expressed his country's commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Pakistan. He acknowledged the potential for investment in Sindh's industries and assured his support for future collaborations.
The meeting was a significant step forward in promoting economic cooperation between Pakistan and China, and is expected to lead to increased investment and trade between the two nations.
